April 3: Dr. Jane Goodall & the first Little People of America Convention
Today we celebrate Dr. Jane Goodall, who has prosopagnosia (face blindness) & the anniversary of the first Little People of America Convention in 1957.
*Note: This episode briefly mentions a historical organization in whose title contains the M-word. Today, this is a highly offensive slur against people with dwarfism to be avoided entirely. It was, however, a term used to distinguish particular medical traits from others with short stature. Words have power, and their uses and connotations change over time. Please listen–and speak–with care.
